It seems people are so engrossed in making friends, that they do not even consider giving a thought to a person's request to add him or her to their so-called "Friends" list. This is all because either they want to expand their friends list or more often that the friend who has sent a request has many shared friends without even realizing who that friend is.
Indeed, it is surprising how people tend to figure out only later, either when someone does it for them or when the so-called friend of theirs makes them realize(if at all) that they hardly know each other. In fact, it happens at most of the times they do not know each other.
Considering such a situation, how does one consider social networking as "taboo", when the network has loose ends and those loose ends have no strings attached. Essentially, I would rather say this is Social "Not-working", unless it really is making some sense to most of the people out there in the virtual world.'
Anyhow, this calls for another aspect that the world, which is so engrossed in social networking, needs to reconsider. The aspect that I am talking about is real Social life. People may not have too much time for that, but it should make some difference to their lives in case it is given some priority, because that is when people will start acting socially.
To add to this, I would also say that people should not refrain from virtual social networking, rather use it as tool to provide some information that is valuable to a certain portion of their friends. Considering the "often" scenario, it is acceptable once in a while to do such a thing, and so one should refrain from posting too much stuff on the internet, especially if it is personal. Even though most of the people say that they have just shared the details or whatever it is with their friends, it is clearly known it is still available to a lot of many other people who know how exactly to do what one would not want.
Anyway, keeping all these thoughts with my own self would have definitely not helped me, rather it would have kept bugging me for a while. In addition, I must say that there is nothing hidden in the virtual world and these are solely my views and from my little bit of experience that I have been experimenting with. Any sort of critique or comments are always welcome.
